Free Vintage Wedding Invitation Templates

To save money on invitations, DIY printable invitations are the way to go. To keep it green, you can order recycled cardstock and envelopes. E.M. Papers offers a couple of free templates for DIY invitations.

If you want the whole package (a“complete wedding set”), there is this bicycle built for two set with a mild vintage feel.

It that set is a bit too much, but you like the template, there is the wedding correspondence set, which includes the invitation, save the date card, R.S.V.P. Card, and Thank You card.

If you are like me, and are trying to cut as much paper out of the wedding as possible, they offer two free invitation only templates. One is the bike template from the sets above. The other is the monogram, which I personally think looks more vintage than the bike. This is probably because I prefer the Regency and Victorian eras when it comes to vintage. Even though it doesn't match my colors, I am strongly leaning in favor of this one.

You can have the color changed on the templates, but there is a charge for that:http://www.empapers.com/customization-pricing. Granted, since they do offer two free templates, it is still a bargain, but keep in mind that either template (especially the black and white one) will go nicely with a variety of color schemes.

They also have free fonts to download,so if you wish to do invitation only, but want to include more information on the back of the invitation (less paper!), or on your own enclosure card, you can match the font to your invitation.

There is also one free Thank You card template, if you want to print your thank you cards.

Love and Lavender has several free downloadable invitation suit templates. Many of them have a vintage feel (depending on what era you prefer). The Silhouette has a Regency or Victorian look. The Vintage Keys could complement many eras. Some of the downloads are specifically save the dates, or can be used as save the dates.

Feeling particularly crafty? Just download some free fonts and make your own template. DaFont has several pages of fonts that look like calligraphy, as well as pages and pages of Medieval fonts and Retro fonts. There are also plenty of other kinds on fonts to choose from on their page (see the menu at the top of the page).
